Scope

This policy applies to all services provided by the truness.com website.

Information collected by the Service:

Truness does not require users to register in order to use its Service. Thus, no personally identifying information is collected by Truness. However, Truness does collect the following pieces of information:

• Cookies - Truness uses cookies (small text files stored by your browser) to keep track of your browser session with the website. These cookies are used by the server to (1) ensure you are not attempting to create a malicious review for a company by use of an automated program, and (2) to ensure you enter a correct "captcha" code when creating reviews or companies. If your browser is set to reject all cookies, you will be able to read reviews on the site, but will not be able to create new reviews or enter new companies into the system.


• Logs - When your browser visits the Truness website, our servers will automatically collect standard information about your browser and its environment, including but not limited to IP addresses, browser type, operating system, language, and a timestamp of your browser's request to the server.


• Submitting reviews - When you create a review, Truness will record your IP address in its database alongside the information provided in your review. Truness will only analyze these IP addresses in efforts to prevent unauthorized access, spam, or other malicious attempts to subvert its systems. Truness may, for any reason and at its own discretion, choose to block access to the service by way of IP address "blacklisting". Such actions will only be taken in cases where it has been determined that the blocking of such IP addresses will prevent abuse of the system and will improve the effectiveness of the Service for legitimate users.

Truness will only process information in the manner described by this privacy policy. The website may contain links to external, third party websites that are independent of the Truness site and service. These sites may have their own privacy policy and when you visit these sites, their privacy policies are in full effect. You acknowledge that these sites may have privacy policies that differ from those of Truness'.
